Wheel thrown stoneware pottery solar lantern. These make a great decorative piece for a patio table. It's a tedious process making them but I sure love the results! Clay shrinks through the drying and firing process so they have to be thrown to accommodate for this shrinkage so that the solar lid piece will fit a the end. Then there is the process of hand making each hole which present their own difficulty in glazing. Work- but worth the results! Bring inside before freezing weather to help prevent damage/breaking. Dishwasher safe (not the solar lid though!).
